Internet Use Disorder: Epidemiology

In the past there have been various surveys to determine the prevalence of Internet Use Disorder or Internet addiction.

Since there has been a lack of uniform diagnostic criteria and of validated psychological tests, a comparison of these studies is difficult.

Most of these studies focus on adolescents, especially high-school students. The prevalence rate of Internet Use Disorder among adults is still largely unknown.
